Did you like Rainbow Bright as a child?

I LOVED Rainbow Bright when I was young.

"Rainbow Bright, see the shining light....lalala!"

We are all moved in, FINALLY got the internets back and are slowly setting up house.  Though we need to hustle because Oct 1st I want to decorate for Autumn and Poppy's first Halloween!  Plus she is thisclose to crawling so we'd better hop to it!

New beginings

Well folks, we're moving.  We're moving right as Trader Joe's opens near us.  Which reminds me, I'm out of Joe's chocolate chip cookies......anywhoodles.  When Jason and I got married we got a one bedroom apartment.  It was just us and our two cats.  We were very happy.  We were just over the bridge to Chas and could still enjoy suburbia and be super close to work.  Jason was able to ride his road bike to and from work and get some of that ol' exercise in. Then we decided to try for a family and were successful way sooner than we thought we'd be.  We set up a room for Poppy in the den which had a door but no closet, so not necessarily considered a bedroom.  Now we are moving to a lovely little townhome with he rown room and bathroom and sidewalks and a garage.  Its further from work but its best for Poppy.

Can't wait to show yall the new place and all our re-designs!

Now that Labour Day is over....

Obviously, I was made for fall.  Pale and proud.  I can't remember the last time I had a tan.  Or the last time I cared about having one.  I'm just pale.  And proud.  I can't wait to get Poppy a pea coat.  Or to make her first Halloween costume (just yall wait!)  I can't wait for hot apple cider whilst taking a bubble bath.  I want to go for walk with Miss Poppy and listen to the stroller crunch leaves.  I love Autumn!

Because we all know that Autumn means that * Christmas * is just around the corner....

Sweet Home Alabama

Come on.  You knew that was coming.  Well we are back from our very first road trip with the baby!  Poppy had so much fun!  We set off on a Friday night so that Poppy could just sleep in the car.  We left Charleston around 9pm and rolled into Mobile around 8am.  Poppy only woke up once in Florida somewhere around 4am.  We had stopped at a rest area and I looked over at her and she was staring right back at me just wondering where in the world we were.  She was asleep before we hit the interstate again.  Once we arrived at Jason's parent's house we had blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries that Jason's grandfather had brought from his home in Cumming, GA.  We had a fantastic trip visiting with Grandma and Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, Aunt Jessica and Uncle Andrew.  Poppy had her first swim in the baby pool and enjoyed testing out her due-in-Nov-cousin's jumperoo.  We, of course, ate at The Brickpit.  Poppy seemed to enjoy the sauce Jason let her lick off his finger.  We failed to meet up with my girlfriend Catherine which just means we'll have to go back.  We drove home on Wednesday and Poppy took naps and looked out the window.  She fell asleep for "bedtime sleep" at 9 after Jason and I had a late dinner.  And she remained asleep once we got home at 2am.  We had a great time!  Here are some photos of sweet Poppy's first trip to Alabama.

More pics later....

Letters.......(venting sorry)

Dear Shingles,
Thanks for ruining 2 weeks of my life.  Thanks for the eye patch.

Dear Posthermatic Neuralgia,
You suck.  You really really suck.  I want to wear makeup without rubbing it off.  I want to wear mascara and eyeliner without rubbing it off.  I'd like to look presentable.  I don't want to constantly itch the left side of my head like I have lice.  (I don't).

Dear Husk,
via
Congrats on Best New Restaurant in America! Every time I eat there I die and go to heaven.  I love love love the chicken skins and love love love it even more when I can get them when they're not on the menu.  However, please stop trying to kill my husband.

I don't want to be a widow at 30.

Dear Ochocinco,
Do not.  I repeat.  Do not mess with my team.  Behave yourself.  I am currently undecided on you.

Dear Poppy's tooth,
Stop hurting my baby!

Dear "The Coming Weeks"
I hate moving so please don't hurt me too bad.

The End.

I hope yall are good!
