Be Jealous

I got to spend the day with 3 of my favorite ladies.  Poptart, of course, Kiki, and Kristen.  We noshed on Kristen's famous enchiladas, watermelon, sweet tea, and snickerdoodles.  Then Kiki, Poppy and I hit Kohls and Target because Kiki needed (needed?) new sunglasses.  We also went to Walgreens and CVS and showed Kiki how to coupon.  CHAMPION!  Then Poppy and I went to Lowes and proceeded to totally look like morons as we asked 400 people about spray foam......may have gone a bit overboard on it once home.....oops.

Really wish my Saturday would be spent consuming boatloads of these.  The Kiki and I lounging poolside, (shellacked with SPF 50 of course) munching these delish delights.  Unfortunately, I will be working, tending to a mass of needy needy people.  Still not sure how they survive one their own........

Happy Anniversary!

The hubs and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary on Monday.  

We putzed around the house, hanging with the Poptart, moved her cradle out of our room and the big girl crib in.  Yes, yes I know, 5mos is too old to still be in our room, but her room is crawling with spiders so no, she will not be sleeping in there.  When we move in September she'll get her own room and I will probably break down.  

Jason and I had a quick dinner at Hominy Grill, my fave!

The things that amuse me these days...

Literally a year ago, I could spend hours, HOURS, online at either JCrew or Pottery Barn adding thousands of dollars of items to my online cart and daydreaming of taking the plunge and ordering it all and facing the credit card bill when it came later.  I mean, one could always forgo paying and declare bankruptcy, but I'm sure my credit score wouldn't appreciate it.  But after Poppy, I found myself instead on Shrimp and Grits Kids and Pottery Barn Kids and of course Etsy.  One my faves?  Apple Tree Boutique.  Saw multiple mommies raving about these "ATB" bibs and googled my butt off until I found Apple Tree Boutique on etsy and wondered what all the fuss was about.  Every time I saw these mentioned online, it was always "Oh!  I just missed the customs set!" or "I nabbed 5 sets of customs and 4 singles!"  Why was everyone so concerned about these?  So I finally broke down and bought a set of 3.  You have to watch on facebook for when she lists the bibs or you'll miss them.  So I busted out my visa and told myself it was a birthday present for me.  THREE AND HALF WEEKS LATER they were delivered into my mailbox.  And I never looked back.  Totally worth it.  Poptart drooled her hardest and was bone dry under the bib.  You get to pick the pattern of all 3 bibs.  There are about 60 or so patterns to chose for.  Below are some pics of Poppy playing with her giraffe whilst wearing her new ATB.

Backyard shenanigans

Today Miss Lucy came over to play.  She and Poppy enjoyed watching cornhole in the backyard this afternoon.  Miss Lucy even helped by putting the corn bags in the whole.  The other team appreciated her help.  :)

A few good siblings......

 

We spent about, oh I'd say, a good 25 minutes playing with my dad's mac, taking goofy pictures when Kiki surprised us with the video option as opposed to stills.  Robb and of course the Kiki.  I asked her if she was going to start a blog and she replied "A blog about what?  Cuddle time with my cat?" So I asked her if she wanted to guest blog for me.  Which was met with "No, why would I guest blog if I don't have anything to write about for my own blog"  So I told her I would blog about her not blogging or even guest blogging for me.  

Poptart is down and now it is time for me to continue to research Baby Taft's baby shower.....Good Night!

It's a BOY!

My wonderful sister-in-law Jessica and her husband Andrew found out yesterday that they are expecting a baby boy on December 1st!  I cannot wait to start shopping for this little nugget!   I've already started thinking about the baby shower....in the meantime.....here is a link to my good friend Kristen's blog detailing my baby shower for Poppy.

Time with the husband

Poppy went down relatively easily tonight and the hubs and I are catching up on TrueBlood.  We are anxiously awaiting tomorrow....Jason's sister and her husband are finding out the sex of their baby!

Soooo.....my wonderful husband and I started a blog when we found out I was pregnant as a way to keep our families updated on our baby's progress.  We kept up with it for a bit, but slacked off.....hopefully I can operate this thing.  Hang on kids.  I'm Sara, hubby Jason, baby Miss Poppy.  I have two neurotic cats also. I think thats it for now.  Happy Sunday!
